A Little About Me
Originally from Grand Rapids, MI, and taking part in local community and touring productions, I attended Jenison High School and graduated Cum Laude from Central Michigan University with a BFA in Music Theatre, class of ‘22.
At CMU, I served as Student Representative on the Music Theatre Council for 2 years, mediating communication between the faculty and student body, as well as organizing and running school tours and auditions. Additionally, I worked as both Head of the Social Committee and Head of Productions for Alpha Psi Omega (National Theatre Honor Society), organizing outreach, recruitment, and team-bonding events, in addition to running annual school-wide theatrical productions.
Backstage, I have had extensive involvement in technical theatre, including multiple years of scene shop experience; work in stage makeup and the fabricating of face-molds and custom prosthetics (including the basics of wig making); and 2 seasons working professionally as a properties technician at the Barn Theatre School for Advanced Theatre Training.
As a self-described DIY Master, my experience in costuming led me to acquire my own sewing machine, which I use to thrift, mend, and upcycle my own clothing. I also enjoy repairing electronics and anything else that can be fixed with a bit of tinkering instead of simply replacing.
Offstage, I love exploring farmers’ markets, collecting and playing retro and current video game systems, and being a mom to my cat, Willow.
